Saturday, April 13
Hello everyone.

It's Saturday here, our last day in Hungary. We played our final concert in Tata last night. Tata is the home church of our hosts. Dany and Sany (Shaw-nee) delivered us safely after the usual number of hair-raising top-speed adventures. Riding with these guys makes us nostalgic for the safety and comfort of I-94 at rush-hour. We are far from drowsy at the end of each journey. Dany's father, the Bishop of Trans-Danubia met us in Tata. A very nice man with a certain similarity to Vito Corleone.

The house was packed, and we played an energetic...if somewhat ragged show. Most voices are a bit raw by now, but Greg continues to wow the crowd. He had his second TV interview as the rest of us hovered in the background.

Our show featured Ildi...who has been travelling along with us, with our translator... her husband Andras. Ildi took Wendy's part on "He Knows". It was a lot of fun...but Wendy is still tops with us.

We were given a number of nice parting gifts at the end of the concert...including a very nice gift for the Church. We hope to get it back in one piece. The by-now usual enormous meal followed. There are lot of "oofs" being let way, way out these days.

Dany and Sany left us to take off on a concert tour of their own. They have a band which performed a song during our concert. They travel in a snazzy Mercedes bus. We think the CL7 would look good in one also.

We were given over to the care of Gabor, Kristi, Hoini and Attila. Not much english among them...but very nice young folk. Gabor and Attila drive at a much more reasonable pace. So after a somnolent 2.5 hour roll across Hungary we arrived back at Balatonfured.

It was nice to hear the widow's club reveling on the phone...even at 2:30 am! We've had a marvelous time, but are looking forward to coming home.

We're off to Budapest today, where we'll meet Andras and Ildi for some sight seeing. Then Sunday morning, bright and early we hop a plane and wing on home to you. You have all been in our hearts for these last 10 days. We thank you for all of the support and love you have given.
