The Cedar Lake Seven is a mission outreach program of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis. Their music draws from the radio gospel quartets of the 1940's and 50's, groups such as the Fairfield Four, Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers, and the Golden Gate Quartet.
Primarily
a'cappella, the concerts are an uplifting blend of old spirituals
and exciting rhythms. As Garrison Keillor said after
hearing the Cedar Lake Seven,"The Presbyterian Church has
changed since coming over from Scotland; they've sparked up quite a
bit!"
Venues have ranged from nursing homes to A Prairie Home Companion, from senior's groups to banker's conventions, and from small groups of twenty to large audiences of over a over a thousand. Make them a part of your next celebration!
